— Case Study
Branding:
Trails Creative Branding
Trails Creative Co. started as a means to link my design career to my passion for the environment. Before my studio had its name, it was just a concept: “Design for the people and the planet.”
The Project
Process Overview
At the beginning of the branding process, I needed to define my studio. I used a Business Model Canvas to frame how the company would operate. Once all the pieces were laid out, it came time to name the studio. Eventually “Trails Creative Co.” was decided and it was time to start designing.
02.
The next step was to create an overall design aesthetic for the Trails brand. This included everything from the color palette to the fonts and the type of imagery used. During this exploration, I also went through the iterative process of developing the Trails logo.
03.
With a finalized logo and the studio’s design style established, I applied it to the various touchpoints I needed. This meant that the website, social media, email signatures, and business cards all had to look and feel the same. As an evolving company, I knew that the design would also grow over time, leading to a more refined brand.
